City reports positive financial results from 150th & Gold Camp Jubilee; July tax receipts hit record

City Administrator Robin Lucero presented the commission with a comprehensive 19-slide recap of the city's 150th & Gold Camp Jubilee, covering planning, community participation, sponsorships, revenues and expenses. Lucero told the commission the celebration remained within the approved budget and closed with a positive financial balance.
Lucero also reported that July 2026 produced the highest combined sales tax and bed-and-breakfast tax collections in the city's history, totaling $351,905.10. She noted that while the four-day celebration contributed to strong tourism and local business activity, it was not solely responsible for all revenue that month. The presentation addressed questions, misconceptions and clarified the event's expenditures and sponsorships.
