Superintendent Shelley Cain reported that the Siskiyou County Office of Education submitted the district's unaudited actuals to the state and that the submission "has been accepted." Cain also updated the board on recent school activities: the final volleyball game and tournament on Oct. 26 in Hornbrook where the district's 'A' team placed fourth; a Jr. High class visit to McCloud High School for a Dia De Los Muertos celebration; a preschool through 1st-grade walking field trip to the U.S. Forest Service on Halloween; and a Veteran's Day assembly where students were engaged by a speaker discussing bomber planes.
Cain said Mrs. Greta Jones secured new cafeteria tables for the school from Butteville Elementary, and that staff and students appreciate the donation. These items were presented as informational in the superintendent's report; no board action was recorded on these items.
