Mayor Terry Matthews presented two separate ordinances concerning 18 E. Sauk Trail: Ordinance 2025-ORD-25, seeking a special use for an automobile dealer within the B-1 business district, and Ordinance 2025-ORD-26, seeking special uses for truck rental and truck sales in the I (industrial) district. For each item the mayor called for a motion twice and no motion was made, so neither ordinance was advanced or voted on during the Jan. 20 meeting.
The meeting transcript records the presentations and the mayor’s two requests for motions on each ordinance but does not record any substantive discussion, conditions, or a reason for declining to move the items forward. Because no action was taken, the ordinances remain unapproved pending further board action or a future agenda item.
