Resident warns committee about privatizing downtown alleyways and public-safety risks

"What do you think would happen if the private sector owned all the alleyways in Seattle?" Ziff asked the committee, adding that privatized alleys could become sites of illegal activity and undermine the citys stated safety goals. She contrasted a recent tribal-led presentations organization and results with what she described as a disorganized budget presentation by another committee.
Ziffs remarks were offered during the committees public-comment period and did not prompt action by the committee at this briefing.
