Public commenter urges cross-cutting ADA policy for downtown plan

"Accessibility is fundamental to downtown livability," Rica said, arguing that accessibility should shape decisions on development, transportation, curb management and micromobility. She asked the council to establish a continuous accessible network, strengthen construction and micromobility standards, assign clear accountability, and measure progress through regular public reporting.
Ricas remarks framed accessibility as central to livability, asking the committee to ensure that downtown growth and economic plans make public spaces and transportation safer and usable by people of all ages and abilities.
