Board reviews Risk Management Plan, Cardiac Emergency Response Plan and PRESS policy updates (first readings)

The board reviewed three first readings: the 2025–26 Risk Management Plan, a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP), and PRESS Issue 117 policy updates. Elliott said the Risk Management Plan mirrors the prior year but reduces the salary-percentage allocation from 35% to 25% to account for an additional elementary assistant principal/instructional coach; this presentation was informational and required no vote.
Superintendent Elliott noted that Kari Bush and Cheryl Daum led development of the district’s Cardiac Emergency Response Plan required by Jan. 1, 2025; the plan will return for approval in December and would be implemented next semester. PRESS Issue 117 was released to the board for review as a first reading; PRESS Issue 116 is on hold pending Title IX changes.
