Stark County Elementary teacher Leslie Rennick named 2025 ISBE Northwest Teacher of the Year

The board gave Pride and Excellence recognition to Rennick on Feb. 24; principals highlighted her "nurturing yet challenging" classroom, collaboration with peers, and extra hours preparing engaging lessons.
Elementary Principal Emily Mastin said Rennick's small actions "impact the whole school," and Junior/Senior High Principal Megan McGann said former students still speak about Rennick's positive influence. The district noted Rennick teaches special education at Stark County Elementary and was notified by ISBE on Feb. 14; the regional ISBE press conference releasing winners was Feb. 18, 2025.
