Superintendent (speaker 4) told the board that staffing planning for the 2025–26 school year is underway and that administration has already posted several positions in anticipation of board review. Posted positions include a psychologist (replacement), an elementary teacher (replacement), two new intervention specialists and a new music teacher; administrators said the intervention specialist roles are new and that adding a music teacher would allow reallocation of some staffing duties.
The superintendent emphasized that hiring decisions are contingent on review of the district's five-year financial forecast and board approval. "We held our 3rd staffing meeting for the 2526 school year," the superintendent said, describing the process and the intent to discuss final decisions at the February meeting before making offers.
