Floyd County Conservation Board asks supervisors to halt Ordinance 2026-02 readings

Tyron Steere, Conservation Director, reported that the Conservation Board wants to withdraw the proposed Floyd County Ordinance 2026-02 (Establishing Rules and Regulations for Areas Under the Control of Floyd County Conservation) and revisit the process at a later date. Campell and Rottinghaus moved to discontinue further readings of the ordinance at the Conservation Board's request; the motion carried 3-0.
The board also directed that the ordinance process be restarted when the Conservation Board is prepared to move forward. The full ordinance text remains available for inspection at the auditor's office and online, and the board recorded the discontinuation as a procedural direction rather than an adoption or repeal of substantive conservation rules.
