At the May 19 meeting the Stark County CUSD 100 board completed a first reading of PRESS Policies Issue #118, which includes language reverting Title IX wording to the 2020 version and proposed guidance on AI use in schools. No action was taken; the board will consider adoption at its June meeting.
Superintendent Brett Elliott also summarized recent Insurance Committee activity: the committee held three sessions that featured presentations from two insurance agencies (including both self-funded and fully insured options), an interview of a potential new third-party administrator (TPA), and an interview of a potential new insurance agent. The committee — which includes Board representatives, teacher-union representatives and the district payroll clerk — plans to present a recommendation to the full board in June.
