Board raises student meal prices 10 cents and adult lunch to $4.00 after ISBE audit finding

The Stark County CUSD 100 Board on May 19 approved small increases to meal prices for the 2025-26 school year following an ISBE School Nutrition Program Resource Management Review.
The board approved a 10-cent increase for student breakfast and lunch categories and a 20-cent increase to the adult lunch fee so the adult lunch meets the audit requirement of at least $4.00. The updated prices included: K–5 lunch $2.90, 6–8 lunch $3.15, 9–12 lunch $3.40, adult lunch $4.00, student breakfast increases of 10 cents across grade bands. Board members noted that meals remain free to students this year under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), and the district raises prices to keep the program affordable if CEP eligibility changes.
