District reports Skyward upgrade complete, track open; sets graduation and promotion dates for 2025

Superintendent Brett Elliott told the board Aug. 19 that the district completed a major Skyward student information system overhaul and acknowledged a learning curve for staff and families during the transition. Elliott also said the new all‑weather track is open for community use when not reserved for school activities and that construction on the new high school gym is on schedule and on budget, with exterior painting and base-floor pours underway.
The board approved recommended senior and promotion dates after administrators considered local event conflicts and gym availability: seniors’ last day Friday, May 9, 2025; Class of 2025 graduation Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the new High School Gym (all high‑school staff expected to attend); and the 8th grade promotion ceremony Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the new gym (all junior-high staff expected). The motion to approve the dates passed 7–0.
