At its April 21 meeting, the Stark County CUSD #100 Board of Education presented Pride & Excellence recognitions to multiple students and staff. The board recognized IPA Student Leadership Honors recipients (Kelton Steelman, Lucy Denton, Trevor Webster, Michelle Lane, Lauren Orwig, Adam West) and acknowledged fifth-grade students who supported cafeteria staff all year: Lee Terwilliger, Kelton Steelman and Sam Plumer.
President Ann Orwig also presented a district recognition to Mrs. Jenny Acree for receiving a 2025 Award of Special Recognition from the Illinois State Board of Education Those Who Excel program. Orwig closed the recognition segment by honoring board member Brian Rewerts for 16 years of service; Rewerts thanked the community and reflected on the board’s accomplishments during his tenure.
