President Ann Orwig called the meeting to order and the board moved quickly to routine business. Mrs. Emily Leezer moved to approve the consent calendar, which included April minutes and monthly fund reports; Mrs. Erin Price seconded and the motion passed 5-0. Later in the meeting, after board members questioned specific entries, the board approved the May bills of $300,762.28 on a motion by Dane Richards, seconded by Joseph Rediger.
Board members asked for clarification on the payment to Midland and a scoreboard payment. Superintendent Brett Elliott confirmed the Midland payment includes student-athlete memberships and explained the first payment comes from the District account while a second payment is charged to the Activity account. The motion to approve the May bills passed 5-0.
The board also approved a set of LEA checks and vendor disbursements previously listed on the consent calendar.
