The Annual Insurance Committee's analysis and recommendation were presented by Superintendent Brett Elliott, and Mrs. Emily Leezer moved to approve the renewal; the motion passed 7–0.
The committee explored TPA provider summaries, the potential cost of adding a second hospital provider and other plan options before recommending the single hospital provider and 20% rate increase for the coming year. The board also discussed related MOU items with the Teacher Association earlier in the meeting that affect the district’s contribution toward single health coverage.
