Jeff, the presenting staff member, told commissioners that Evergy indicated an easement signed in April 1948 covers the location and that the county is financially responsible for relocating roughly three poles off the roadway to allow construction. Jeff also said the county has completed surveys, that core permits are in process, and that staff expect to receive permits in early August so construction can proceed on schedule. A motion to authorize the payment was moved, seconded and approved in the transcript.
