Staff also said they sent notices to nine surrounding property owners and received one comment opposing multiple subdivisions on the grounds of preserving rural character; that commenter stated they would not oppose one or two new homes. Following presentation, a commissioner moved to approve the rezoning, a colleague seconded, and the board recorded affirmative votes.
