URA reports $91.96 million in HOF allocations (2018–2026); survey draws 642 responses

URA staff presented the quarterly financial report, saying the total amount allocated to the Housing Opportunity Fund from 2018 through 2026 is $91,958,000 and that $64,392,225 has been deployed into projects to date. Staff also reported $12,927,871 as committed-and-undeployed and approximately $14,637,904 as uncommitted funds after the 2026 allocation was added to the account. "The total amount of funds allocated to the housing opportunity fund through from 2018 through 2026 is $91,958,000. Of that, $64,392,225 have been deployed," the presenter said.
John Bonello, senior data and evaluation specialist, summarized the community-survey results: the compressed six-week outreach yielded 642 responses; respondent makeup shifted slightly toward renters and younger age groups compared with prior years. Bonello said rankings of current and future interventions are stable over five-year trends and highlighted growing public support for making affordable housing permanent, homebuyer education and energy-efficiency measures. "The grand total was 642, which is an excellent number of responses, a very representative sample," he told the board.
Board members asked whether staff track applications that could not be funded because money ran out; staff said the system does not aggregate that metric but acknowledged the information exists in program pipelines (for example, a previous HAP round received ~700 applications and funded roughly 50–80). Staff committed to compiling additional pipeline data for next month to inform allocation decisions.
