Bryant briefed the board on current VDOT projects. She said work on the Route 46 bridge remains in progress and is still scheduled for a spring 2025 completion "as long as everything goes as expected." She reported that Route 723/460 work was re-advertised in November with bids due in December and that allowing a five-day detour instead of a weekend-only detour was intended to attract bidders. Bryant also said the county’s asphalt contract is nearly finished aside from pavement markings and reflective markers, and that mile-marker signs for Routes 460 and 360 are being ordered; once installed, the coordinates will be provided to emergency management and the sheriff’s office.
Accepting the resolution and flowers, Bryant thanked the board and staff for the support she received over the years. "I've always worked really well together, and I am gonna miss that," she said.
