Advisory board approves minutes with roll-call correction, notes recent executive session

The Hough advisory board confirmed a quorum and voted to accept the July 7 meeting minutes after a requested correction to record the identities of a previous roll-call vote. Tanika Harris moved to accept the minutes with edits and Karen Garrett seconded; the chair said "the vote's carried."

Board member Robert Helwig had asked that the minutes explicitly list who voted during the prior meeting’s roll-call, and URA staff said the identities of members' votes would be added to the record. The chair also announced the board had met in an executive session earlier that day at 01:30 and reconvened for the regular meeting at 02:09; staff said that session clarified internal voting policy and would not change the July 7 minutes, but noted the meeting had occurred "in relationship to clarifying policy related to our voting."

The board did not take policy action arising from the executive session and proceeded to review demonstration grant proposals, hear the quarterly financial report and survey results, and begin the allocation planning timeline. Members were reminded that follow-up questions for applicants would be circulated before the next meeting.
