Director of student services outlines behavioral supports, CPI training and SEL work

Jennifer Hering, director of student services, told the board the district is drafting written policies and procedures for behavioral supports and is working to build staff capacity to use instructional data.
Hering said more than 40 staff members have completed Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and the district now has three certified CPI trainers to support ongoing behavioral-management training. She added that SEL coaches provided trauma-informed training and the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee held its first family outreach event of the year.
