During public comment, Kyra Smith spoke on behalf of concerned parents and presented a petition with over 120 signatures calling for stronger anti-bullying measures, improved safety protocols, and better communication and transparency from the District.
Superintendent Kristin Baranski and Board members acknowledged the comment. Baranski described ongoing work in the Communication Committee and Threat Assessment Protocols, noting the district balances prompt notification with the need to investigate incidents to ensure accuracy. The superintendent said incident notifications vary by incident severity and participants and that the district is seeking committee feedback before updating notification guidance.
