The PTO representative reported that the Scholastic book fair will run Oct. 14–16 and that the group has coordinated delivery logistics with the vendor to avoid surprise set-ups. "This year, we're doing a teacher spotlight each month so teachers can vote on a fellow teacher that will highlight, and the winner this month was Mevi," the presenter said.
The presenter described additional fall activities: a trunk-or-treat on Oct. 31 with prizes for best-decorated vehicles and a school fundraiser to support PTO programs. The board accepted a $1,500 PTO donation to support the 6th-grade field trip to Camp Fetch; the donation was approved by roll call. The PTO representative said the group is investigating alternative book-fair vendors to increase selection and respond to teacher requests.
Board members and staff encouraged PTO to solicit feedback from grandparents and families about timing and event access. The presenter said the PTO is refining communication through the band app and email so families receive timely details about events.
