Wayne County ratifies four-year contract with Sheriff’s Court Officers’ Association
Summary
The board ratified a collective bargaining agreement with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Court Officers’ Association covering Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2029 and authorized appropriation of any funds necessary to implement the agreement after members ratified it.
Mr. Johnson presented Resolution 258-26 which ratified the negotiated collective bargaining agreement between Wayne County and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Court Officers’ Association (WCSCOA). The negotiations concluded March 20, 2026 and the agreement covers a four-year term from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029. The board was notified members had voted in favor of ratification and authorized the Madam Chair, the Sheriff, and the County Attorney to execute the agreement on the county’s behalf.
The resolution also authorized the appropriation of any additional funds necessary to implement the agreement. The measure passed by roll call and was declared adopted.
