The board accepted low bids for multiple contracts: Nicoletta Building Contractors Inc. for general construction ($749,000), The Bethlem Service Corporation for plumbing and mechanical ($48,740 and $83,700 respectively), and BAS Electric LLC for electrical ($71,000). The Deputy Superintendent estimated the total project cost at $1,127,440, which includes construction administration services and a $150,000 contingency.
Board members authorized use of unallocated fund balance to fund the project and authorized the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent to approve change orders up to $20,000 within the project budget. The Madam Chair was authorized to execute the project contracts subject to County Attorney approval.
