MSU students to help draft design guidelines; commission seeks more engagement

Staff said MSU's design lab will prepare design guidelines for the downtown historic district and meet with the commission in person once for feedback, with a final presentation planned for later in the summer.
"The students may only come to talk to you once, and I think they're also gonna be in town once or twice kind of walking around taking photos and stuff," Staff member said, adding that staff signed an MOU and that $3,000 from the planning budget and $3,000 in pass-through funds had been allocated to the project. Commissioners asked for additional contact opportunities and to receive preliminary materials for written feedback if more in-person meetings are not possible.
