After further review and a suggestion from Ms. Calder to gather more information on services already provided in visitor centers, Ms. Holbrook amended the motion to $563,370 and to move the National Elk Refuge decision to the June meeting. "Motion passed 6-0 with Ms. Bess absent."
The amended allocation directs $400,000 to Friends of Bridger-Teton, $95,870 to Teton Backcountry Alliance and $67,500 to Friends of Pathways; written public comment in support of the Friends of Bridger-Teton program was noted. The board discussed funding lines (strategic partnerships and unallocated reserves) and timing across fiscal years; the National Elk Refuge application will return in June with additional information requested by the board.
