Mayor Compton and councilors reported on several town projects during the May 18 meeting. The SWIM project was updated with construction slated to begin this month. The council recognized residents and councilors—Steve Werts, Dane Clark and Councilor Kriss Grisham—for their efforts in reopening McCathran Hall after installation of a new sprinkler pipe system.
The council also announced a trial repair to address larger cracks on the town tennis court, scheduled for May 27–29, with the court expected to reopen May 30. The Mayoral report thanked Terry Arnold for building bee hotels and restoring tennis-shed signage as part of broader community-maintenance efforts.
