The Aspen City Council approved a consent calendar that included several administrative and capital items on July 22. The items approved covered: appointment of the city's representative to MEAN; contracts for Main Street cabin renovation converting an older mountain-rescue home into employee affordable housing funded by the city employee housing fund; a service-line inventory potholing contract to comply with state and federal water-delivery standards; and an operations and maintenance contract for the Rudy and Maroon Creek hydroelectric facilities that contribute to Aspen's 100% renewable municipal electricity portfolio.
Mayor Rachel Richards summarized the consent items and noted that the Main Street cabin conversion will house city employees and be funded from the city employee housing fund. Council moved, seconded and approved the consent calendar by roll call with Councilors Benedetti, Doyle, Rose and Mayor Richards voting yes.
