The Independent School District 279 School Board approved the terms and conditions of employment with the Osseo Principals Association covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. Yvonne Schwartzland, executive director of human resources, summarized the agreement and its implementation timeline. "In terms of compensation in year 1 there is a 2.15 increase to base salary. Year 2, 2.0 increase to base salary," Schwartzland said, and she added that the two-year contract represents a $557,052 financial investment (a 3.55% total package increase).
Schwartzland also described other contract changes: updated language around salary ranges and maximums, district contributions increased for group health insurance (except the high plan), an increased 403(b) match district contribution, and a reduction in professional development funding. With ratification, human resources and payroll will begin implementation. Director Thomas Brooks moved approval; Director Keith Tate seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
