WWTP CMAR score slips on biosolids testing; commission forwards report to Village Board

Director of Public Works Ken Bloom explained the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) results, saying the WWTP scored an overall 3.86 GPA, down from 4.0 in 2024. Bloom attributed the decline to the biosolids portion of the report because one farm that receives biosolids has not completed the required testing every four years.
Administrator Cherek supplied the financial section of the CMAR and said the Utility should be able to reach its LGIP Utility Replacement Fund balance in just over two years with interest income. The commission voted to approve the 2025 CMAR report and forward it to the Village Board for final approval; the filing deadline is June 30, 2026.
