Commission approves trial to accept holding-tank waste at WWTP at $13 per 1,000 gallons

Staff had previously quoted $15 per 1,000 gallons plus the $10 fee; the commission agreed to a trial price of $13 per 1,000 gallons.
Knauf described operational plans to fabricate a screen to filter sediment before the load enters the treatment plant and said his intent would be "to bring 2-3 loads per day, up to 100,000 gallons." Director of Public Works Ken Bloom raised concerns that the plant as configured does not have prescreening and may not fully handle the proposed capacity, and the trial will evaluate whether the arrangement is workable.
