Council member reading the ordinance said the appropriation covers public improvements, fire-engine refurbishment, new communications and signal systems, information-technology equipment, automated vehicles and other apparatus. The ordinance authorizes a down payment and the issuance of bonds and bond anticipation notes to finance the appropriation.
Council approved the ordinance on its second and final reading and directed the clerk to publish the adoption notice as required by law.
