Before approving the July minutes, the commission asked that the record reflect a clearer rationale for the commission's denial of a prior McDonald's site plan and special use permit. The Chair noted a correction to the minutes (that Brian Watson is the vice chairperson) and said he preferred to revisit the minutes next month so staff or the chair could provide additional specificity in case the earlier decision is subject to future litigation.
"Brian Watson is the vice chairperson, not missus Wetherbee," the chair said while proposing to delay final approval of the minutes until the record could be augmented. Commissioners agreed to ask McKenna or to review the meeting tape to add detail before adopting the minutes.
