Infrastructure report: new chillers online; election facility nearing completion

Brian Wint, reporting for the Infrastructure Committee, told the Budget Board that work on the new chillers occurred July 11 and the building is now fully operating on the new, more efficient chillers though one unit has a minor issue they hoped to resolve by week's end. A Texas-based company performed a salt wash on one side of the building to address mold.
Wint also updated the board on the election facility: most permanent work is complete, the old election building may be removed pending asbestos procedures, and a new facility is rising quickly with a new main entrance and parking on a different side of the property. Courtroom audio/video upgrades were reported completed and judges are beginning to return as emergency courtrooms are converted.
