Commission favors limited guest-parking requirement where on-street options don’t exist

Commissioners voiced mixed views: some opposed adding more parking requirements given winter parking constraints and the town’s limited space; others — including commissioners with development experience — argued guest parking improves livability and marketability of units. After discussion the commission favored a targeted approach: reinstate a small guest-parking ratio in locations that currently have none and continue to incentivize multimodal transportation in zones where on-street parking is available.
