Manistee County Fair set for July 28–Aug. 1; carnival secured and new Midway Market planned

Mr. John Schimke, representing the Agricultural Society, told the commission that "Fair dates are July 28, 2026 through August 1, 2026. Carnival company has been secured. There will be a new Midway Market with a variety of Artisans and Vendors." The minutes record additional planned attractions including a karaoke contest, Chuckwagon dinner, Bump and Run, Horse Pull and lawnmower races.
Organizers also coordinated with a local school for a work bee at the Fairgrounds on Friday, May 8. Ms. Johnson provided a copy of the Agricultural Society’s budget and said a copy will be provided to the Manistee County Board of Commissioners for review, indicating planned administrative follow-up on finances.
