"This project is gonna be between 85 and a $100,000," Kim said of the planned long-range facilities contract, and staff noted a $50,000 donation toward the cost. She also relayed Piper Sandler’s preliminary estimate that the district’s 'AWESOME' grant amount could be about $10,000,000, adding that the grant amount varies with student counts and statewide demand. The board discussed timing: the awesome grant application must be submitted before a bond and by the grant deadline the district cited.
Trustees asked for assurance that the consultant would perform in-depth assessments, including structural checks prompted by the Robert Frost findings; Kim said the scope expressly includes deeper looks at problem buildings. The board authorized staff to finalize the contract and proceed with the contract award process; work will include community-facing visual renderings to support future voter outreach.
