Emergency Management reported a change in its mass notification platform and contract terms at the June 10 meeting. Steve Wall said the department moved from Nixle to Regroup and entered a three-year contract with a $6,500 payment (the prior annual cost was $4,100); Wall described the change as a cost savings given additional functionality and said the Treasurer's Office may use the system for tax reminders.
Wall also said he has a meeting in Madison to work on the county's mitigation plan, which is due this year, and that he has an outstanding certification he expects to receive at an upcoming conference. The committee voted to accept the Emergency Management expenditures and report.
