The Marathon City Plan Commission reviewed draft Chapters 7 (Land Use), 8 (Intergovernmental Cooperation) and 9 (Implementation) of the city’s Comprehensive Plan at its June 23 meeting and made minor wording edits and map updates. The commission discussed future land use maps and agreed to post the drafts for public review at Village Hall and on the village website.
"All draft chapters/maps are available for public review at the Village Hall and on the Village Website at https://www.marathoncitywi.gov/communications/comprehensive-planning/," the meeting record states. Commissioners set a follow-up meeting for Aug. 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. to define future land use density, continuing the plan-drafting process ahead of later public hearings and formal adoption steps.
The review focused on text edits and map updates; no formal votes on the comprehensive plan chapters were recorded on June 23. Members of the Plan Commission conducted the review during the scheduled agenda item and invited public access to the draft material for comment.
