Tonya Jolley, director of Interlink Volunteer Caregivers, told the commissioners her organization logged 12,368 miles transporting Jerome County residents, totaling 766 volunteer hours, and reimbursed more than $8,600 in fuel costs in the past year. Jolley asked the board to match or exceed last year’s donation; she did not specify an exact requested amount during the meeting.
Commissioner Charles Howell asked for a breakdown of trips and clients who are veterans so the county can consider directing funds through its veterans program; Tracee McKim said the county would like those figures. No formal motion was recorded at the meeting for additional funding.
