On Aug. 14 the Mokena School District 159 Board approved a slate of personnel actions by unanimous roll call vote, 7‑0‑0. The motion, moved by Jim Andresen and seconded by Samantha Tunney, approved classified and certified resignations and new hires subject to successful background checks and credential verification.
Approved classified new hires include Brianna Flesher, Amari Echols, and Kelly Kmak (paraprofessionals at MES, $17.10/hr) and Lorri Accettura (paraprofessional at MJH, $17.10/hr). A tentative hire for MJH Health Services Coordinator, Kimberly Talty, was listed at $29.60/hr (effective 08/21/2024, tentative). Resignations approved included Katherine Rothermel and Ashley Tibble (paraprofessionals) and Elizabeth Kruse (social worker). The board also accepted a certified request to rescind a DRO for Suzanne Isdonas.
