Hillsboro board moves to bar dual-sport participation during a single season

"Motion made by Mike Cerutti, seconded by Blake Furness to discontinue athletic participation in dual sports in a single season," the minutes record. The motion passed on a roll call vote with Brian Patton, Blake Furness, Kassie Greenwood, Mike Cerutti and Bill Christian voting yes.
Board members said the decision responds to recurring scheduling conflicts; the minutes do not record a plan for hardship waivers or next steps to communicate changes to students and families.
