During routine business the Historic Preservation Board voted on prior meeting minutes. Board member Judy moved to "table these minutes until the next meeting" for the May 5, 2026 minutes; the motion was seconded and carried on a roll-call vote. Later in the meeting the board moved to approve the June 1, 2026 minutes and that motion also passed by roll call.
The clerk conducted roll-call votes for each motion and announced the motions passed. The board discussed quorum rules and which members who were not present at prior meetings must abstain from votes on those minutes; staff advised members not physically present at a meeting should abstain from approving that meeting's minutes. These procedural votes were confined to the minutes on the agenda and did not change board policy.
