The Harwood City Council on Aug. 3 declared the home at 311 Lind Blvd a dangerous building and directed the City Attorney to prepare an order requiring the owners, identified in meeting minutes as the Sellars, to repair or remove the structure within 30 days of the order date.
Mayor Blake Hankey said the City Auditor received an email from the Sellars requesting an extension and confirming service of the notice; the council nevertheless approved a motion (moved by Chris Higgins, seconded by Jamie Nettum) to declare the property dangerous and a subsequent motion (moved by Chris Fix, seconded by Higgins) to require repair or removal. The minutes record the votes as unanimous “aye.” The action is recorded as a formal order to be prepared by City Attorney Sarah Wear.
