Council asks Playground Committee to revise comprehensive design/build RFP after discussion

Oscar Ramos presented the Playground Committee's draft RFP for the 2026 Washington Grove Playground Renovation and Modernization, which described a comprehensive design/build approach intended to implement much of the Playground Comprehensive Plan.
Council members held a lengthy discussion about the approach. By consensus the Council recommended that the Playground Committee revise the draft RFP for the July meeting after consulting a professional at the Parks Department who has offered advisory assistance. The action is a direction to the Committee rather than a council vote, and staff will expect a revised RFP to return for Council review in July.
