Cy Lootens presented the Clerk’s FY 2026–27 budget request and asked the board to approve a 5% raise for all clerk’s office employees. Lootens said most clerk budget items were kept the same and that the elections budget would see a requested increase in advertising costs to reflect higher fees for posting public notices in newspapers, while miscellaneous election expenses were proposed to drop because the next election cycle will be less busy.
Deputy Clerk Ryan Treanor and staff Tracee McKim were present for the discussion. The board heard the clerk’s request; no formal vote or final decision was recorded in the minutes. Commissioners will consider the clerk’s proposed raises and election advertising adjustments during final budget decisions.
