Board approves multiple hires, accepts resignations and offers sick-leave buyout for 2025 retirees

After an executive session on employee compensation, performance, resignations and retirements, the Board approved multiple personnel actions including new teacher hires and volunteer coaching appointments and accepted several resignations and retirements effective at the end of the 2024–25 school year.
Mr. Rewerts moved to approve a one-time sick-leave buyout for all 2025 teacher retirees of up to 20 unused sick days at a $100 per day rate, payable after Aug. 1, 2025; the motion was seconded by Mr. Richards and approved 4-0. Specific hires approved included Kelsey Berchtold, Ashlyn Kratochvil, Abby Hagan, Rod Hatch (part-time Spanish), Rick Schertz (6th–12th electives) and volunteer coaches Travis Sparks and Zack Snyder. The board also approved a medical leave for Brittany Venzon (March 6–30, 2025) and accepted resignations from Matthew Bowen, Angela Tuthill (retirement), Karen Morrissey, Erin McClanahan and Grace (Michal) McClure.
