Board approves multiple hires, accepts resignations and a termination following executive session
Summary
Following an executive session on personnel matters, the board approved several supervisory and coaching hires and accepted resignations; it also approved termination of a kitchen staff member. All personnel motions passed 6-0.
After adjourning to executive session to discuss employee compensation, non-renewals and personnel matters, the board reconvened and approved a slate of staffing actions. Motions passed to approve Preston Parrish for PM supervision at the Jr./Sr. High School; Andrew Collins as assistant junior high football coach; Emma Miller as junior high/high school detention supervisor; and Taylor Libby as SCES After Care Supervisor. The board also approved Kali Breese as the high school cheer coach for 2024–25.
The meeting recorded the immediate resignation of Sandra Carter as the junior high/high school cheer coach and the resignation of Christine Cole, Elementary second-shift custodian, effective Aug. 28, 2024. The board also approved the termination of employment of Annabelle Young (kitchen staff) effective immediately. All personnel votes were unanimous among members present.
