Board chair of the Building & Finance Committee, Bruce West, reported that the new high school gym construction is running on schedule while the new track still has several punch-list items to finish. The committee also discussed the upcoming south high school parking lot project and shared the final FY25 budget overview that was before the board for approval.
To offset some parking-lot costs tied to construction bonds contingency, the board authorized the superintendent to prepare and submit an application for a $50,000 ISBE Matching Maintenance Grant. Trustee Dane Richards moved for the superintendent to write the FY25 Matching Maintenance Grant; Emily Leezer seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
